Welcome Aboard!

Welcome to my launch! WOOT! When I was debating what to write for my blog launch post, the only thing that kept repeating in my head is this quote, “Welcome Aboard!” Seems cheesy, but there is a little bit of significance behind it.

As you will come to learn, if you haven’t already, I am a veteran of the United States Navy. In the Navy, when you switch duty stations, you will get a “Welcome Aboard!” letter that will provide all the information you need about that command and what you need to know to get there. Leave it to the Navy to take it a step further. They will say it again when you arrive at your post,”Welcome Aboard”, and again when you actually board a ship.

Launching of The S.L.O.B. Blog!
“Mom made a Blog, and it’s sweet!”

I am so excited to get started on this adventure with you and I hope you will take some time to browse around the posts that I have written through my experiences. The S.L.O.B. Blog was a concept created by my husband and I. This blog is about Sewing, Living, Organizing, and Babies (get it? SLOB). It’s also a fun poke at myself because, honestly, you get up some mornings and all you want to do is be a slob.

S.L.O.B. are the “categories” that I will put my posts in so you can choose to read certain categories, or just read everything, because it’s awesome.

Why is it awesome, you ask? Great question! I want to take a real approach to my blog, an angle that isn’t typically seen in blogger’s pages. When I post pictures of my sewing room, I am going to keep it real, which means that you will get pictures of my space (or what ever I am talking about at the time) as it is.

We are currently renting while I complete school, which means that not everything has a home (yet) and I may or may not have clutter hidden in corners of every picture. Like I say in my About Me page, I like to keep it real . Simple.

My hopes are that you will enjoy reading my posts (and subscribe!) and see the reality behind my life as a wife / mom / student.

Again, Welcome “Aboard”  and I hope you enjoy!

I would love to hear about you and how you came across my little blog. Please leave a comment to tell me all about it!
